about the series

Dead-Enders is an internationally award-winning web series. Now in its second season, this ensemble-driven comedy follows a group of doomsday preppers in the early days of the zombie apocalypse.

The series was created by a group of friends and artistic collaborators looking to connect in difficult times while seeking relief through comedy; as such, the episodes embody themes of found family and coping through humor while centering the stories of BIPOC and LGBTQ+ characters.

season 2

“look alive”

Spurred to action by a rescue mission, season 2 encounters the preppers as they venture out into the zombie-infested world to recover Mac’s niece. The gang rendezvous at an abandoned house and find themselves a new traveling companion — paranormal romance author-turned-economist Rebecca Jackson.

But after a harrowing fight against against a horde of zombies, the preppers have to split up to make it to safety. Through season 2, we follow the preppers’ shifting relationships and evolving friendships in an unfamiliar and newly-zombied world.

season 1

“it’s never too late to be prepared”

It's one week into the zombie apocalypse and the Ready, Prep, Go forum couldn't be more, well, prepared. Leo’s been waiting for this since he started the forum, and Mac has known this would happen for ages. Girlfriends Maisie and Eleanor are excited to spend more (virtual) time together, and Jodie is glad for the chance to finally write their dissertation without any distractions. Harper, however, having spent her time on the forum trolling, is woefully unprepared.

Over the next six weeks, we follow the gang on their weekly video call check-ins and watch them grow closer as the outside world crumbles and the zombie virus spreads. Season 1 sees the preppers share their triumphs, frustrations, secrets, ambitions, and awkward attempts at flirting as the apocalypse descends.
